Supports: forgettoforgive; Venue:The Cave

Forgettoforgive is one of the upcoming heroes in the screamo scene. Since “emo” became popular, bands like these seem to be growing faster then ever. About the performance I can be clear. The stage was too small for Forgettoforgive. The singer was continuously walking in front of the stage. They did not make a good impression. The audience was standing far away from them and although the singer tried to come closer to them, the audience just stepped back. Personally I was horribly annoyed by the way of staring to the light of the singer. It was like he was searching for the moon. Musically, they did not impress me either.
It all sounded cheap, uncontrolled and familiar. It was all done before. Taking all the best from other does not make something your own. And it does not make it unconditionally good.
For me, it felt like a release when Forgettoforgive left the stage and Drain Life was about to enter. Drain Life brings some hardcore music. And how it supposes to be. I have seen them before and again they impressed me. Even with their new bassist, who just joined the band, they sounded complete. The audience seems to be happy with Drain Life as well. Although the singer was also in front of the stage, they did not mind to come closer and the interaction between the band and their audience was much better! So no surprise this gig pleased all of us more then the first one.
