Releasedate: 05-02-2010; Label: My Kingdom Music
By: Sabine van Gameren
Things have not gone easily for the Dutch Melodic Death Metal band Fuelblooded with the release of their second album. Eventually they ended with My Kingdom Music to release “Off The Face Of The Earth.
The band formed in 2002 and had set their name straight in their own country now seeking it more internationally with their latest release. The sound of this band reminds to the Swedish bands Soilwork and Darkane for example. Melodic Death Metal that has a certain level of commerciality in it, yet stay brutal enough to stay off the charts. Fuelblooded captured the catchy lyrics into the package that promises to be a live sensation. Vocal wise the band uses clean vocals as well as grunts, a combination that brings the best of both up and certainly extend each other to something more. Not the newest kid on the block, but certainly not another one in line either. The band brings a couple of solo’s in the music, brilliant to listen to while the album brings diversity in sound. It’s not a long straight road and that suits them well. Fuelblooded brought a product on the marked that is doomed to success. It will come out, the bomb is about to burst. Before you know those major festivals are all lining them up.
