Founded in 2003 in Northern-Germany, Shadow Minds play something between Synth-Pop and EBM.
Most songs on this album are in English, only “Seelenschmerz” is in German. The music is very thriving and danceable. As common for EBM the focus is on the beats and not on the vocals, that’s why they seem a little bit in the background. The songs get stuck in your head easily. Songs like “Breath” sound like opening the universe for you.
The songs are great for clubs. The music does not really provide one certain emotion but leaves it up to you how you want to feel when listening to it. Shadow Mind dig deep in your mind but stay in the shadows and are not involving active thought of you, meaning you don’t even realize how deeply you will memorize the songs.
“Extend The Line (Rebuild)” is an interesting album with different kinds of songs that all add up perfectly well to a complete whole. I am sure you will enjoy it.
