Venue: Batschkapp, Frankfurt (Germany)
By: Nina Mende
Half the price but more than twice as long as the show the night before, was tonight’s show. Daniel Wirtz was performing on stage tonight. Daniel Wirtz is a German musician who began playing music when he was 15 years old and did it since then. With Sub7even he rocked for many many years, and now he is focusing more on his solo project. Daniel Wirtz had just released his second album called “Erdling”.
We entered the venue as the opening act was playing their last songs, so we didn’t see much of them. The Batschkapp was crowded and it was almost sold out if not completely sold out. Amazing fact when thinking of Daniel Wirtz playing at Nachtleben last time where it was less than half the size of tonight’s venue. Daniel said that tonight we had 800 people here. The atmosphere was amazing, it felt like one big family. You could tell everybody really understood what Daniel and his band were trying to say, and that not only because he was doing it all in German but because they somehow seemed to share minds tonight. The show in Frankfurt was videotaped and recorded for a live DVD, but that was probably no reason for everybody going crazy, more likely it was the music itself. Everybody could sing along to the songs and did so out loud. The band was amazed by that and you could tell they were sometimes speechless. The show felt like home. Fans seemed like old friends, always true and by your side. Daniel played probably all songs of his two released albums, played guitar and rocked with the crowd. More than two hours and several songs as encore the show seemed never ending. So no need to wish for time to stop. It was an amazing show and even though the songs were reflecting the hard and cold reality of life kicking your ass the vibes in the venue were extremely positive and chilled. The band talked a lot with the audience and it felt like they are part of they crowd. And that’s what they are. Daniel Wirtz and band are just like you and me. Down to earth and real, always staying true to their thoughts and word. Something that became extremely rare in today’s world. But these guys will never give up and the fans will always be by their side, constantly growing. So be a part of this rocking revolution and catch Daniel Wirtz live, get his albums and support the music. |
