Not many people took the opportunity to see the support act Wasted this night.
Was it because of the Monday? Was it because of the entrance being € 12.50?
Was it because they only wanted to see the headliner? We will probably never
know.
| What I do know is that they actually missed a lot. Very professional rockers playing their catchy solo’s and melodies very convincingly. Add to that the melodic voice of the bass player and a very tight drummer and you have the perfect ingredients for a very nice open air festival band (provided the weather is not spoiling it all). They clearly were having a lot of fun on stage and they undoubtedly have loads of fun when writing songs. If you write songs about chatting up with girls that turn out to be men then yeah… Need I say more?!?!?! Only odd thing was that this band was from Amsterdam, but they were continually addressing the audience in English. |
| Having at least as much fun as Wasted, was headliner The Answer from Northern Ireland. Obviously inspired by bands like Deep Purple and AC/DC. Very entertaining and the crowd was cheering very enthusiastically. And The Answer knew how to entertain the about 100 visitors, for example by asking everyone who saw them live at the Lowlands festival to raise their fist and shout. And next on, for those who did not, to do the same. Good atmosphere. Good band. Brilliant sound. Since they are playing Holland 11 times this month, be sure to check them out if you’re into hardrock! |
