17-10-2009 Into The Darkness Festival

Another night at the Into Darkness Festival I spent in Nuremberg. As well as in Frankfurt were many people waiting to get in and the venue was completely crowded from the first band on. The bands played in the same order as last time, the only difference was: They started an hour earlier.

So first band was Dope Stars Inc. The light at Hirsch in Nuremberg was bad. The stage was quite small and low. Nobody cared though. The band performed as passionate and powerful as usual. Because of the small stage they couldn’t move around too much. They didn’t talk too much with their audience today. But the audience was happy anyway, they sang along and danced along. Cheering out loud after each song, the audience enjoyed the show. After 30 minutes the guys were done.

Up next was Lacrimas Profundere, this was their sort of homecoming show. You could tell how happy the guys were, the audience was very happy to see them as well. They interacted a lot with the audience, way more than in Frankfurt. The show was very thriving. The light had hardly gotten any better. The lyrics were deep and passionate. They had the same set list as they did in Frankfurt. The show lasted for about 30 minutes.

Now even before the band had begun, the audience was cheering out loud. Deathstars didn’t let us wait as long as they did in Frankfurt, but the show was the same. Only the stuff the singer said to the audience was different and a little more obscene. But the fans liked it. They were screaming whenever anyone of the band did anything, sang and danced along. To me, it was just the same show as in Frankfurt.

Last band was Diary Of Dreams. Tonight they were inspirational and passionate as usual. They played old and newer songs. Even though some die hard Deathstars fans had left already, there were still many people to enjoy the wonderful and gorgeous performance of Diary Of Dreams which lasted for about an hour. Tonight their show didn’t feel as it did in Frankfurt, but people sang along and the cheering was loud after each song.

Another great night at the Into Darkness Festival.
