Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Left Spine Down (also known by the acronym LSD) is a band that plays what they call “cyberpunk,” a mixture of industrial, metal, punk, and drum & bass. The band features Jeremy Inkel of Industrial music legends Front Line Assembly and Denyss McKnight, former bass player of Vancouver punk music veterans The Black Halos.
The new album of the cyberpunk band Left Spine Down is fast with many electro and cyperpunk elements. Thriving music packed on two CDs. The second CD contains remixes. The vocals are more in the background while the music and fast beats are more in the focus. On some tracks you can hear talked samples or the singer talking. The music can be considered as somewhere between Revolting Cocks, The Prodigy, KMFDM and a little Combichrist. “Fighting For Voltage” definitely is a very interesting piece of music keeping your ears busy for about two hours. Enjoy.
