08-10-2009 Agonoize

Supports: Schallfaktor, Centhron; Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Germany)
By: Nina Mende

Another night at Nachtleben. This time to see an electro band from Berlin. But before they played there were two more bands opening for them.

Schallfaktor, the German electro/industrial project was up first. The stage was totally dark and the venue extremely crowded and steaming hot. Some people were dancing to the music the two guys on stage created. After every song the audience cheered and it was getting hotter by the second. Schallfaktor only played for about half an hour though. During the change over many people went outside for a smoke so you could actually breathe.

As Centhron came on stage the people were all back inside, cheering and dancing a lot more than before. Three people on stage now, one of them was a female keyboarder who danced a little behind her instrument. She looked like an army woman. The music was a little more melodic than before but still a lot of distorted vocals and a steady industrial beat. The bass player tried to play with the audience.

Last band welcomed with a huge applause was Agonoize from Berlin. Now everybody was dancing along and doing as the trio told them to do. The music was catchy and thriving. You just had to go along. It was steaming hot and still getting hotter in the venue, getting harder to breathe as well. But nobody seemed to care. The audience seemed to be in some sort of trance. The guys on stage had a lot of fun performing, you could tell. The singer splattered blood all over the audience again. The stage was filled with fog while everybody on there was dancing, two behind their keyboards/ synthesizers and one up front playing with the audience. Agonoize’s performance was thriving as usual. They were always up for a joke and performed for about an hour plus encore. The songs were off all albums. The light was still quite dark, but better than during the first band. Everybody was clapping and cheering, shouting and singing along throughout the entire performance and even afterwards nobody seemed tired.
