Last summer this young Dane stirred the underground and the big pot of expectations with her ‘Lucy Love EP’. In January she was saluted as P3 Experiment at the annual P3 Gold Awards and a month later ‘Superbillion’, her debut full length, was released to general acclaim.
The music is hard to put into one genre. Mainly it could be considered Hip Hop because it has a lot of rapping on it and the typical hip hop beats, but the album also has quite many electro beats. So maybe Electro Hop? Anyway, Lucy Love doesn’t really sing on this one, but as I said before: she’s rapping. The electro beats are quite funky at some points. But all in all, when listening to the entire album, it appears quite monotone. Yet it is interesting to hear in the mix. And for the clubs it is quite suitable as well.
