Alien Hand Syndrome is a project from Vienna, making Alternative Rock music. The band comes with their debut album “The Sincere And The Cryptic” which is out now.
A little odd they are, you notice right from the start. The dark and moody atmosphere is depressing at first but when the band starts to build their tensions, you find yourself flowing with them easier than you might have expected at first. It goes slow, this tension work they are keeping your mind entertained with, slowly and dreamy at some point, but never turning into a nightmare not even at its darkest points, shows that there is still a certain of modestly left. With this way of working you might find a reference to post rock music. Due to this all you come to realize that this is not an album that goes in lightly, it is experienced best when listening in an intimate setting, perhaps with headphones letting nothing distract you from your tête-a-tête with Alien Hand Syndrome. When being in the right mood it is an album that might make a deep impression but it simply doesn’t come easy. Invest some time in it and the beauty comes alive.
