\u00a0 Starting up in late 2002 by clashing some ideas in a dirty old rehearsal room
\n\u00a0 somewhere in Germany, quickly first songs shaped up, a band name was found and
\n\u00a0 stages entered. Half a year later their debut \u201cGood Drinks, Good Butts,
\n\u00a0 Good Fellows\u201d sold out in a rush and the band’s reputation quickly raised
\n\u00a0 from the insider underground hottie to a decent act. Gaining a lot of experience,
\n\u00a0 song writing and musical skills within the following two years, it was in 2005
\n\u00a0 when the acclaimed \u201cLove Murder Blues\u201d striked and marked the bands
\n\u00a0 next level. This album enabled the Heartbreak Engines to hop on a couple of
\n\u00a0 tours and festivals, also the Bad Boys For Life festival tour was now up on
\n\u00a0 their live schedule. Conquering loads of new hearts on a headline run and supporting
\n\u00a0 genre leaders, made the band to take another two years to face the studio again.
\n\u00a0 The result was the album “One Hour Hero” which I am the owner of now.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 This album is very powerful and energetic, the music is punky and fast. One
\n\u00a0 thing I realized right after I pressed play: the band has a stand-up bass which
\n\u00a0 gives the songs a special touch and is also a typical instrument for a psychobilly
\n\u00a0 band. Really nice. I can imagine that there is a lot of moshing going on during
\n\u00a0 their gigs, with many big guys in the audience.
\n\u00a0 “Give It Up” is a perfect song to shout along. The song “God’s
\n\u00a0 Black Day” is nice to sing and dance along. “Bad Job Jesus” is
\n\u00a0 a very outstanding song because of the melody, the vocals, the guitar, and simply
\n\u00a0 everything in this song. It is definitely my favorite of all. It somehow reminds
\n\u00a0 of blues music from back in the day. “Not My War” is a quite aggressive
\n\u00a0 song. The last song on the album “Gunwitch” sums the album up very
\n\u00a0 nicely with the soft vocals and the aggressive backing vocals, the guitar and
\n\u00a0 the melody.
\n\u00a0 A great album for an evening out or in with friends and beer.<\/p>\n\n\n
