Lunar is a Dutch alternative rock band from The Hague, who released their debutalbum \u201cUmfelt\u201d this year.
\nA slight touch of the British sound is not too miss out when listening to Lunar, the band may tell you their inspiration is wider than that and that conclusion is one you will draw as well when \u201cUmfelt\u201d reached your player. The four-piece formation did not hold back on throwing in some experiments in their album and included a cello when they thought they needed one to bring the atmosphere to another level. A female vocalist joined for one song called \u201cUndone\u201d for example, which is one of the most emotional reflections to their souls.
\nIn general the songs carry a dark character, depressive doom is an aim but there is a lot of frustration in it well. Frustrations about life, things that are real and so come the lyrics are approachable for each listener. Instrumentally there is enough to experience, the band goes for diversity and this brings the music to an higher level.<\/p>\n

The band brought their debut album to live with an allure of being a killer album, which it certainly is on national level. Seeing things a bit more international, there is to say that they will have to grow into that role to compete the immense concurrency but there surely is an potential.<\/p>\n
