He had written a bunch of songs that were just screaming to be completed, recorded and released. He got in touch with guitarist Janne Stark, who has previously released albums with bands like OVERDRIVE, LOCOMOTIVE BREATH, BALLS, ZELLO etc. asking him to lay down some guitars on the demos. Janne loved the songs and got even more involved in the guitar arrangements, and the seed of CONSTANCIA was planted. After having tried out several singers Janne came to think of ANDROMEDA singer David Fremberg, who had also appeared on Janne’s MOUNTAIN OF POWER album. One vocal trial track later he became the band’s lead vocalist. The vast geographical differences not meaning any limitations, the album now started growing together piece by piece. It all amalgamated into an end result that is a true band effort.

The music reminds of 80’s metal á la Whitesnake. The voice as well as the guitar riffs remind you of that very well. The songs are quite calm whereas the choruses are rockier. This is music you want to hear in sold out arenas. “Lost and Gone” represents music that will never be lost and gone because the bands from back then won’t stop having revivals and newer bands can’t let go of it and try to be like their heroes. Which is definitely not bad as long as it sounds as good as Constancia does on this album. Most songs are easy to sing along, as well as swaying lighters along or bang your long 80s hair along. “Life Is A Mystery” is a very slow and melancholic song with serious lyrics. It also contains some very nice guitar solos. “I Never Say Goodbye” is one of the faster songs, not to say the fastest. You can actually jump around to this song. The bonus track has a nice intro and you can hear steps as well as a door closing on the outro. All in all this is a very nice album.

LINE-UP:
David Fremberg: Vocals
Janne Stark: Guitars
Mikael Rosengren: Keyboards
Michael Mueller: Bass
Peter Svensson: Drums

Tracklist:
01.
