Paul van Dyk is a grammy-award nominated artist, and one of the world’s leading electronic dance music DJs and producers. He was named “World’s No.1 DJ” by DJ Magazine in 2005, and in 2006. He has remained in the “Top 10” since 1998. As of 2007, he has sold over 3 million albums worldwide. A trance producer in the early-late 1990s, Paul quickly achieved popularity with his famous remix of \u201cLove Simulation\u201d by Humate in 1993, and his hit single, For an Angel, but in recent times he no longer likes to describe his music as trance, but rather simply as electronic dance music.

\nListening to this album kept me busy for an entire evening, because there are many many songs that all are quite long. But it was a nicely spent evening since Paul Van Dyk\u2019s remixes are really good and never get boring or annoying, not even the longest ones. The remixes are mostly sounding like chill out music but also great to dance along. I am sure you know quite many songs of the album from the clubs or from the radio. Many of the remixes you also know the original version off. Some of the remixes are very melodic and dreamy which doesn\u2019t mean that others are not melodic, but just not as fairytale like as others. On the second CD I was quite impressed how well one song blends into the next although the album starts out with remixes by for example Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears. Some other remixes are without lyrics. When listening to Paul Van Dyk\u2019s Volume you drift off and just enjoy the here and now. You stop worrying about everything. A very long album which is worth hearing all the way through.<\/p>\n\n\n
