The Devil Wears Prada is besides the title of a book and matching movie also the name of an American Metalcore band. The band claims not to be inspired by either of them but refers to their vision of life.

\nThe first release for these Americans dates back to 2005 when \u201cPatterns Of A Horizon\u201d was released. \u201cWith Roots Above And Branches Below\u201d is their latest full length album. Even though the band makes metal, they continuously make sure that everywhere got mentioned they are a Christian metal band. Musicwise the metal core comes forward quite well. A little bit of Caliban, some Trivium here and there. The start of the album is a bit of an anticlimax though. It sounds like emocore and that was not exactly what was expected. After the first song they slightly got rid of this disturbing fact. Vocalwise there is, as what they announced as being more \u201cbeefier\u201d, an issue that worries me. Listening to the vocals make you think like the singer is going really far to reach this aggression, but he crosses that line and in the mind I see him turning red gasping for air and collapse in need of oxygen.
\nNext to that, the instrumental parts are done well and therefore the album is not that bad and won\u2019t be dismissed.
\nLet\u2019s just hope that they survive touring.<\/p>\n\n\n
