Bloodpit is a Finnish rock band founded in 1994. In the past two years the band first split up, then decided to continue with another singer though. To the new singer Antti there also joined a second guitar player called Petri. Now they finally have their first album released with this line up.

\nThis album is definitely incomparable with any of the old Bloodpit albums, not only because they now have a new singer but also because their sound has changed completely. And the new sound has something that is terribly hard to describe. With the new singer Bloodpit definitely lost its sound of insanity but it gained something way more special, something that some people might consider creepy. To me it is just impressive. The songs go deep into you and spread through your body from the inside. Now don\u2019t call me crazy or tell me I watched too much Fringe. But this sound Bloodpit has gained with their two new musicians is just that unique and odd, yet gorgeous. There is not much preset emotion on any song in this album but it more depends on oneself how you will feel when hearing each song. It depends on how you relate to the lyrics and how you react to the sound. Each song has a full sound gaining even more power by Antti\u2019s well-placed voice. He knows how to use it very well and also knows how to use his voice to its full extend. \u201cFor You To Be Safe\u201d always causes horror movie images in my head because of its video which is on the CD as well, so go watch it. The video is very interesting to watch, and the movie \u201cFor You To Be Safe\u201d is soundtrack to, is just as interesting. But pushing aside the memories of the video “For You To Be Safe” also plants a complete different image in my mind. But go find out for yourselves. Another thing about this album is that it hooks you. It is on your mind for hours or even days after you listened to it, and you have the urge to listen to it again. \u201cThe Last day Before The First\u201d is a wonderful album, the five Finns did an amazing job and I can\u2019t wait to see them live again now.<\/p>\n\n\n
