\u201cAd Luciferi Regnum\u201d Is the second release from the satanic black metal band Vanmakt. The Swedish formed their band in 2006 while having their debut album released in 2007.
\n
\nSatanic ideology is the base for what Vanmakt is about. The urge to show their war against Christianity starts with the cover but is practically dominating everywhere. The fast drums added by session drummer Liedheim are fast and taking a lead in building the speed. Riffs contain quite flat during the whole album, meaning that there is not too much variation in them, but the modern approach that these Swedish guys embraced is surely an interesting element, as there is an overkill of those bands who keep in touch with the old school (or maybe old-fashioned) way of bring their statements. The aggressive style is one you have to like and adore when adopting this album. It is not the most diverse album, but when a song like \u201cThe Ascension\u201d plays I realized that there is a lot to hear in it. For sure that songs is the highlight of the album when it comes to me.
\nAnd then, the band announced that they are influenced by doom metal as well, but it is not really obvious where to find those influences back in the album.<\/p>\n

If you are in a need of more of the same, go for Vanmakt! If you are looking for something new, reconsider to go for something else.<\/p>\n\n\n
