The Italian formation called Rossometile took 5 years for making their second full length album \u201cTerrenica\u201d. They released on May 4th via My Kingdom Music.

\nWhen reading about this band while listening the album I got into some question marks. Progressive dark metal is what they make according to the info sheet. For me it is hard to find these elements. All of them. What I hear is a warm female voice, like a mother singing to her children on a sunny day. Metal? No, not really. Dark? Not at all, but I have to admit that perhaps this element comes more forward when you speak Italian as all the lyrics are in Italian, which I don\u2019t. And progressive? Well not THAT much progressive either. But let\u2019s step away from this genre thinking and see what there is to find in this music instead of what it is not.
\nAs I mentioned, a warm female voice welcomes you. In this album when the instruments start quite calm in the first song of the album \u201cTerrenica\u201d. There are moments I expected Angela, the vocalist, to be more expressive. A bit harsher, to put more drama in it. The serenity of the first song are driving forth the whole album. Instrumentally, I liked the guitar work most. with some effects they create a symphonic atmosphere. Drums I found not too interesting. There could have been some excitement in those. A bit more fire, to power it up and back up the guitars. A bit more passion in here would give the illusion that the total outcome is a bit faster. Just a musical illusion.
\nStill wondering a bit about the \u201cdark\u201d in the description I check the artwork that comes with the album. Photo\u2019s from mother earth, nature, stars, the road and a heart gives the idea that the story of the album is about an everlasting trip to find the eternal love of a person\u2019s live.<\/p>\n

Overall, this album isn\u2019t that bad. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere over the songs and find this a good album to listen to when having an overdose of death metal. Not really meeting the expectations that were built but a decent surprise which did the trick.<\/p>\n
