The first gig was played in March 2003. After some more gigs and a lot of rehearsals they produced the first record “7 of the blackest Songs on Earth”. The album was recorded in only one day with very simplistic materials. The feedback on the record was more than positive and step by the step the band gained more publicly day after day.

In summer 2004 they got the offer to publish some songs on different samplers and at the same time they recorded 3 new songs. Unfortunately Noise reached his musical limits which created problems in within the band – the break-up followed as a result.
End of summer 2004 Seares joined as new drummer. Already 3 weeks later The Fright gave their first concert with the new drummer at the Horrorpunkfestival at Oberhausen together with The Other and The Crimson Ghosts. Since this time they are working constantly on new songs and have had a lot of live performances. 2005 The Fright played 25 concerts amongst others as opener for the Japanese Horror Punk band Nr.1 Balzac at Leipzig. After this The Fright made a break for about 1 year, they wrote some lyrics but nothing really thrilling was happened. End of 2005 they recorded 4 new songs which in the beginning of 2006 were supposed to be published but then were used for demo purposed only. Just now they released their second album “Born To Be Dead”.

This album can seriously be considered Horrock’n’Roll. Ghould rock at its best. Fast tunes and catchy melodies, creepy sounds and shouting as well as horror riffs, dark moody music yet powerful and strong. The album artwork is held in all black decorated with black and white pictures reminding of 60s horror movies. The booklet contains the lyrics of the album as well as pictures of each band member and already gives you the creeps and makes you shiver by simply looking at it. The music on the album doesn’t shower you much warmer. The three ghouls of The Fright play their Horrock’n’Roll as if they have never done anything else. The voice is clean and nice, leading you through the songs strong. The bass is sometimes outstanding sometimes more in the background. The guitar sometimes more distorted sometimes more leading. Throughout the album you will find faster and slower songs but no boredom. Each song is different and keeps on rocking, even after the 100st time listening to it. Roundabout 55 minutes does this album have to offer you until you hit replay. But don’t miss out on the hidden track.

If you like bands such as The Other, Blitzkid, Shadow Reichenstein and so on you will definitely love this album. So get your flat top fixed, put on your leather jacket and hit the road to get your copy of this album.

Tracklist:
01.-999
02.-Horrock’n’Roll
03.-Ghosts
04.-Killing Love
05.-Immortal
06.-Serpent Lady
07.-Slaughter Blues
08.-Wild’n’Undead
09.-Mask
10.-Heart & Soul
11.-A Gift
12.-Netherworld
13.-The Headless Horseman
14.-Acherontic
15.-The End

Links:
The Fright MySpace
The Fright Official

Releasedate: 25-04-2009; Label: Contra Light Recordings By: Nina Mende The Fright was founded in 2002 by Lon (git., voc), Kain (bass, backvoc and Noiseferatu (dr.).
