In the year 2003 Au Revoir Simone was formed by Erika Forster, Annie Hart and Heather D’Angelo. The New York Based trio makes indie pop and just released their third album \u201cStill Night, Still Light\u201d.
\n
\nThe three ladies bring sweet, relaxed,, lay back pop music with a big embracement of their synths. Above these synths is a package of vocals which all of them have their part in. These two elements bring the dreamy sound up. Even though it all sounds quite sweet there is still a bit of a depressing undertone in the music. The album art reflects this feeling as it is mostly black and white. Their song titles often reflect a bit of the darkness as well they show a bit of irony sometimes. \u201cOnly You Can Make You Happy\u201d is one that is quite stereotype for what you can expect to find on the \u201cStill Night, Still Light\u201d album. Harmony and melody are the best friends of the ladies and where you think they reached a limit to that, you find yourself wondering how come they once again over-ruled your expectations. The drum machine of Heather D\u2019Angelo is the base of the music bringing the fundamentals of the album to the light.
\nThe album contains twelve songs and while listening I keep on thinking that the end is coming, but there are more songs than you realise. No complains about that, Au Revoir Simone gives you worth for your money and even more. That is why I kept on thinking: \u2018Well this will be the last one\u2019 to find out there is still more to enjoy.<\/p>\n

Yes, this New York trio have made an interesting album. One to listen to, listen again and over again. If you won\u2019t get scared of a decent amount of synths then this album is surely worth to try out. \u201cStill Night, Still Light\u201d is that sceptical note you were waiting for.<\/p>\n
