Wizard, announced as being \u201ca synonym for heavy metal\u201d, comes from Germany.
\n
\nAfter many years and various albums they are now on Massacre Records and they released the album \u201cThor\u201d.
\nWizard has besides the heavy metal also some power metal elements in their music, mainly in the vocals and lyrics.<\/p>\n

As \u201cThor\u201d showed me a couple of songs I found that the songs are more or less an extension of each other. The riffs stop for a second at the end of one song, to continue straight away when the new song starts as it seems.
\nThe instrumental work in \u201cThor\u201d is very balanced. All of the instruments seem to have the perfect harmony in the music to support the story of the vocals. I found it very attractive that no ones ego is ever dominating here. Quite refreshing!
\nLyrical, the band seems to fall back on the gods as a routine. \u201cThor\u201d is known as the god of thunder, while they chose to obey Odin (the godfather) before. Will Wizard keep this in as being their tradition?<\/p>\n

Overall the album is a nice one, the title \u201ca synonym for heavy metal\u201d is a title they are worth.<\/p>\n
