Now they are back with a brand new and brave line-up, pockets full of strong hits, the first due to be released on Recovered EP, out on October 1, 2008. They found a new singer called Antti Ravín and a second guitar player Petri Hiltunen. I think everybody at Tavastia was now curious what they would sound like. The show and the sound was really good. The whole performance almost seemed perfect, but too perfect for Bloodpit as it used to be. Antti just didn’t have the passion as Matthau has when singing. So the songs were sung more or less emotionless, at least not as emotional as it used to be. But besides that little personal opinion it was great. Bloodpit played old and new songs and also some covers.

Now it was time for Hanoi Rocks who took their time for the change over and played almost an hour after they were actually supposed to play. Tavastia was even more crowded by now and there was no coming through anywhere. Everybody sang and danced along, clapping and cheering for the band. Michael Monroe was playing saxophone to some songs again and Andy threw candy into the audience in between some songs. They had a new drummer who was from Stockholm. They played songs off all albums, talked to the audience and shook hands with them from on stage. Their fans loved the band and would not let them go. So Hanoi came back for an encore. A great show with great light and sound was going to end now. It was a great show for a Saturday night and very early Sunday morning.

Links:
Bloodpit MySpace
Bloodpit Official
Hanoi Rocks MySpace
Hanoi Rocks Official

Supports: Bloodpit; Venue: Tavastia, Helsinki (Finland) By: Nina Mende Oh boy was I curious to see this show: Bloodpit with a new singer!
