The German gothic metal band Flowing Tears just released their album \u201cThy Kingdom Gone\u201d.

\nThe band is founded in 1995 and had several releases since. Since 2004 their current vocalist Helen Vogt joined. The band did tours with bands like Samael, Tiamat, Moonspell and After Forever. As it being announced as their darkest album ever made the album starts of quite light with some piano. The vocals of Helen surprise me; a little flirt with the power metal is there. The gothic comes more up in the third song \u201cRain of a Thousand Years\u201d. Guitars become dark and melodic as their heaviness is still guaranteed.
\nThe titlesong of the album was one who stands out a lot. It contains guest vocals of Vorph (Samael) and is one of those songs you will always remember of a band. Every band needs such a song. Like Metallica had their \u201cNothing Else Matters\u201d. For me, this band will go in my memory as the band from \u201cThy Kingdom Gone\u201d.
\nTowards the end, the band comes to their highlight when it comes to heaviness and speed, to name the song \u201cFor My Enemies\u201d as example.
\nProduction of this album is done very well. You could easily make this album too much pop at the production, but Flowing tears never took that way.<\/p>\n
