Linnea Hjerten is a Swedish artist. Her second album “Steg f\u00f6r steg” <\/strong>is out now. “Minimal means, maximal presence” is the motto for “Steg f\u00f6r steg<\/strong>“; Linnea recorded and mixed everything herself. We fell in love with the first record upon reviewing it last year and so we were curious what awaits us with “Steg f\u00f6r steg”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
“Steg f\u00f6r steg” <\/strong>offers us seven magical and dark Nordic tunes. Each song takes us to a different path and is unique in its own way. Yet, they form the perfect ‘circle’ for the album and complete each other very well. The overall pace of the album is calming, inviting us to slow down. Overall, the sound is the perfect mix of dark folk, ambient and Nordic music. Thanks to the arrangements and the authenticity that Linnea Hjerten brings, “Steg f\u00f6r steg” flows easily and provides that soft dark atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What I liked most about “Steg f\u00f6r steg” <\/strong>is its minimal and passionate approach. Linnea Hjerten’s dreamy vocals combined with traditional instruments and that Nordic energy dominate the album. This is what makes “Steg f\u00f6r steg” mesmerizing and magical. I personally associated this album with meditation, spirituality and going inward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nordic melancholy mixed with the dark goddess energy… “Steg f\u00f6r steg” is perfect for this season and definitely recommended to the lovers of dark folk\/ambient genre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
