Formed in 2010 by Australian resident Giles Lavery as a side project, DRAGONSCLAW<\/strong> is technically a group of musicians who have collaborated with Alcatraz<\/strong> and Warlord<\/strong>. The band released two albums in a couple of years before taking a 12-year break. This year, the metal quintet returned with their third album, Moving Target<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The album, consisting of 9 tracks, tries to be a tribute to the 80s legacy with vocals in high octaves accompanied by fast and crying guitars. Brick by brick, DRAGONSCLAW<\/strong> built a meaningful fortress, as powerful and tender as the ballad-like “Survival<\/em>” or the thoughtful “Ghost Soldiers<\/em>“. In the middle of the tempo there is a top-notch “Don’t Break the Silence Again<\/em>“, which at first glance can please any metal lover. The third part of the band’s material is full of rock. Tracks like “Back on the Streets<\/em>” and “Shadowfire<\/em>” demonstrate a willingness to be strong to the max. The closing “Raise Your Fist<\/em>” waved goodbye verbally and literally. Unexpectedly, the track presented speedy riffs and soft vibes at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving <\/em><\/strong>Target<\/strong> <\/em>is a solid and well-mastered effort, but not so much that it will drive you crazy. In any case, the record, stylized as a driving horror of the 80s, stamps the return of the golden era of heavy metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
