Their 2022 release \u201cMirage\u201dpleased the Black Metal scene substantially so anno 2024, when a new album sees light, will be the year we hear more of them. Their new album \u201cComa\u201d is out now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>There has been some line up changes to this formation so we were wondering what that would bring for this release. Especially since the vocalist is now changed. Not an unknown member, their guitarist has now taken up the vocals duties also. Listening to the first tracks you soon conclude that this is perhaps a bit more harsh than before. A deep intense sound gives word to what this band brings. And this intensity is strengthened with a strong musical surrounding. Guitars are leading you through remarkable soundscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most standing out tracks is \u201cSuspended\u201d. The band released it as a single and comes with a video for giving shape to the visual experience this band brings. Some clean vocals give the song a different shape and altogether seems to be a song that creates a bridge between the albums that were released before and this release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the track \u201cShapeshifter\u201dwe are seeing a track where the band is creating a quite dynamic feel. It starts relatively calm where it slowly gains intensity to dwell all over you in the middle part. And then ends so calmly again. A remarkable one to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaerea brings with \u201cComa\u201d an album that is diverse but above all intense. The band surely has a slight different feel compared to their previous release but it is not straying too far from what they did before. They seem to have gathered in strength and bring their melodics in its extremest form. Anyone who followed the band before can find themselves indulged with this one as well.
