Winter is a project by Markus Winter, which has released some albums through the year on his own name as as well as under Winter. This year he releases another album. It is called \u201cKeeping The Flame Alive\u201d and it has a Metal sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Winter is a trio and with some familiar names on there the band seeks a sound that is recognizable for the listener of German Power Metal appreciator. The guys have taken the best from the past and mix it with more modern styles to come to a sound that signifies what Winter is shaped like. Some guest singers are invited as well, Ralf Scheepers, Siegfried Sch\u00fcssler and Iggy Rodriguez are names that also point you to the direction of what you can expect. However, if you know what Markus Winter has done before than you also know that some other genres have been played by him as well and it is nice to know that these influences certainly surface in this release as well. \u201cSigns of Danger\u201d for example has a bit more of a rock side, darkness casts over it and a bit of gloom makes the song a nice one for the time of year. Going a bit more technical with a track like \u201cDelusions in G minor\u201d is something that speaks to a different kind of listener, so you can safely conclude that Winter is bringing you an album of diversity. But where it speaks strongest are the tracks where they go all in. Catchy songs, with a somewhat bombastic feel to them, the tracks that everyone remembers when this formation played live. For these are certainly there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A bit clich\u00e9 sometimes, but nevertheless perfect to add the feel good element to the release. Above all the albums speaks loudly, it tells us it wants to be played live, so let\u2019s see when the three gentlemen are giving following to that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
