The project Eisbrecher was started on a mild summer evening in 2002 by Alexx Wesselsky (lyrics\/vocals) and Noel Pix (composition\/keyboards, guitars, programming); both having already been successful before Eisbrecher with the rock group Megaherz not only in the German-speaking world, but also abroad (above all in the USA).
\n
\nThe desire for something new, for hard music without the ordinary metal clich\u00e9s brought Alexx and Noel back together after all their fights during the Megaherz period. The charismatic, impulsively perverse, 6-foot provocateur Alexx and the sensitive, super-disciplined, charmingly cheeky music genius Noel have taken everything apart and put it back together, they’ve fought, avoided, and tolerated each other. The result of this process is called Eisbrecher.<\/p>\n

Having two albums released already this is their third, called \u201eS\u00fcnde\u201d (Sin). The music is very electronic and somehow cold and harsh, yet melodic and emotional. As the album begins it somehow reminds me of Rammstein. The vocals are dark and gloomy, somehow impressive and captivating so you just have to listen to each word. The songs are sung in German, the lyrics are quite morbid at times. \u201cThis Is Deutsch\u201d sounds like a robot-marching song. The music is great for dancing along and I\u2019m sure also ravers and such will like it, since it is very electronic. A great album, you don\u2019t want to miss a single second while listening to it.
