Die Happy is a German rock\/alternative band from Ulm. The group was founded in 1993 by the singer Marta Jandov\u00e1 and guitar player Thorsten Mewes. Even though the band is based in Germany, their songs are written and performed almost exclusively in English. By now they are one of Germany\u2019s most successful bands who also have a female singer.

\nThey have released five studio albums so far and their newest and sixth studio album is here now, quite logical that they called it \u201cSix\u201d. And this very album is what this review will be about:<\/p>\n

Somehow Die Happy has always reminded me slightly of Guano Apes and it seems like they always will\u2026 But I am not comparing them here with GA, it\u2019s only when I listen to Die Happy I automatically think of Guano Apes. Marta\u2019s voice fits to the rock music very well. She has a rocking voice, tough and strong. The song \u201cEasy Come, Easy Go\u201d starts a movie in your head along with the music and the lyrics. It is a very easy song for singing along with a catchy melody. The album is good time music which I can imagine being great for live shows. \u201cPeaches\u201d makes you jump around and have a blast, a very energetic song. \u201cStill Love You\u201d is the fairytale and dreamland song of the album, while listening to it you drift off to another world, really nice and emotional song. \u201cSweet Sensation\u201d is the party song of the album, very danceable with its beats and the melody. All songs on the new album are very easy going and seem to fly by in no time. It is not an album you have to get used to but you will love it from the first second on. The last song is slower and a little sad, but that\u2019s the only one on the album. \u201cSix\u201d is a great new composition of a great female fronted band from Germany. Good rock music with catchy melodies and lyrics, that is how you can describe Die Happy best.<\/p>\n

If you get the special edition of the album you will have a DVD along with the CD, the second disc contains unplugged and live videos. So enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n
