\u00a0 Bj\u00f6rk was about to give a concert in Netherlands. This was big news, since
\n\u00a0 Bj\u00f6rk did not play in the Netherlands for 5 years. The fans really expected
\n\u00a0 to see a great show. The show was about to take place at the Westergas fabriek
\n\u00a0 in Amsterdam. There, event organizer Mojo, placed a festival area where several
\n\u00a0 concert took place in the past two weeks. Besides Bj\u00f6rk also James Morrison,
\n\u00a0 Peter Gabriel, John Legend, the Scissor Sisters and Keane gave concerts here
\n\u00a0 this month. It seems like not only the Dutch fans but also many fans from France,
\n\u00a0 Belgium and Germany came to Amsterdam to see the Iceland beauty perform. But
\n\u00a0 after 2 hours waiting we had to watch a support act first.
\n\u00a0 Jamie Lidell was the one who suppose to entertain us. When I watched him walking
\n\u00a0 onstage I recognized this guy as the guy where my mom always warned me for,
\n\u00a0 when I was younger. His hair looked messy; he was wearing a long raincoat and
\n\u00a0 a horrible shirt under it. I think he would definitely scared young children
\n\u00a0 when he walks on the street like this. His music was pretty electronic. The
\n\u00a0 first 5 minutes I was able to listen to it, but every minute after that I started
\n\u00a0 to realize that it sounded more and more the same. And\u2026 quite boring. When
\n\u00a0 he started singing the words \u201cI am a question mark\u201d I saw people around
\n\u00a0 me losing interest as well. I even saw people who turned around and show their
\n\u00a0 backs to Jamie Lidell. Since I was bored as well, I did the same. That gave
\n\u00a0 me a good opportunity to see what kind of people went to see Bj\u00f6rk. Most
\n\u00a0 of the people there looked artistic. Like art students. Seems like they did
\n\u00a0 not like Jamie Lidell as well since I saw people sitting on the ground.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 45 minutes after Jamie left the stage Bj\u00f6rk started exactly on time. Like
\n\u00a0 she was holding her watch to it. First, all the other musicians which also contained
\n\u00a0 a choir entered the stage. The choir was placed in line at the background. Each
\n\u00a0 member of the choir had an own flag. The stage was filled with colorful flags.
\n\u00a0 Then Bj\u00f6rk herself entered the stage in a white with red dress. The first
\n\u00a0 song she did was \u201cEarth intruders\u201d. It sounded awesome. Especially
\n\u00a0 with the choir. Unfortunately, the sound was not good in the beginning. Not
\n\u00a0 due of Bj\u00f6rk, but due the festival setting. I hardly heard the vocals.
\n\u00a0 It got loads better after a few songs.
\n\u00a0 During the show she got applause all the time. Even during the songs. Songs
\n\u00a0 as \u201call is full of love\u201d, \u201cInnocence\u201d and \u201chyperballad\u201d
\n\u00a0 really got the audience attention. When reaching the end of the show, a laser
\n\u00a0 show started of and there was more dancing in the audience. Too bad that this
\n\u00a0 show was outside, so the effect of the laser show partly faded away. A funny
\n\u00a0 thing to tell is that Bj\u00f6rk was drinking some sort of home made drink in
\n\u00a0 between the songs. I wonder what the receipt was. At least it worked perfectly.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 After she left the stage, people gave her a lot of applause. Of course we wanted
\n\u00a0 an encore! And of course we got one. She came back to sing \u201cOceania\u201d
\n\u00a0 for us. She wrote this for the Olympics in 2004. We got a little different version
\n\u00a0 of it, it sounded more up tempo. For me, the best song of the evening. At this
\n\u00a0 point I got goose bumps all over me and the words \u201cShe is an artist\u201d
\n\u00a0 came in my mind. As final song \u201cDeclare Independence\u201d was played.
\n\u00a0 And then she really left.
\n\u00a0 Bj\u00f6rk, please don\u2019t let us wait so long again!!<\/p>\n
