There was another first round in R\u00fcsselsheim\/Germany<br \/>\n\u00a0 I went to. This time there were eight bands playing, but only seven to vote<br \/>\n\u00a0 for via hand sign. The last band was a winner of last year\u2019s Emergenza,<br \/>\n\u00a0 a band from Stuttgart\/Germany. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Let me tell you the lineup in the running order first before I forget it:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0Allthesame<br \/>\n\u00a0 Susanne Heidrich and band<br \/>\n\u00a0 Blood Barrier Reef<br \/>\n\u00a0 Roadblock<br \/>\n\u00a0 Memmen und Technik<br \/>\n\u00a0 TA<br \/>\n\u00a0 Surf Green<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 And the special guest was:<br \/>\n\u00a0 The Jerks<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 The Rind in R\u00fcsselsheim was quite full, but it was a Saturday night and<br \/>\n\u00a0 the band Roadblock brought 100 fans!!! Yes, they really did. No wonder that<br \/>\n\u00a0 they won the first place of the night, but they were good and deserved it. Let<br \/>\n\u00a0 me start in the beginning though.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 The first band of the night was Allthesame, a young band playing hard core<br \/>\n\u00a0 music combined with some metal elements. They hardly brought any friends or<br \/>\n\u00a0 fans so they also got hardly any votes\u2026<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Up next were Susanne Heidrich and band playing Latino pop. The female singer<br \/>\n\u00a0 was dancing a lot reminding of Dirty Dancing. Accompanied by a saxophone they<br \/>\n\u00a0 were trying the get the votes of the audience. Their music would have fit better<br \/>\n\u00a0 into a jazz club, but they enjoyed their performance and that it all that counts. <center><br \/>\n\u00a0 \ufffd<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 The following, Blood Barrier Reef, was another young metal core and also local<br \/>\n\u00a0 band screaming their lungs out on stage but not getting many people to dance<br \/>\n\u00a0 nor vote for them although the venue was getting quite full at that time\u2026 <center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 But that was probably because of Roadblock, a local student rock band who seriously<br \/>\n\u00a0 brought 100 fans and friends. They even got a bottle of Jack Daniels for that<br \/>\n\u00a0 achievement which was also because of a bet and a promise of the Emergenza host.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Roadblock got the dance floor more than just crowded and definitely had the<br \/>\n\u00a0 audience on their side. With 119 votes they left as winners of the evening. <center><br \/>\n\u00a0 \ufffd<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Memmen und Technik were three guys with a drummer as vocalist. Their music<br \/>\n\u00a0 did not convince me but they convinced 44 people and therefore ended up on third<br \/>\n\u00a0 place. <center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/center>\u00a0 TA, another young and local rock band, got the groove on with their Mando Diao-like<br \/>\n\u00a0 sound, got the audience dance and move on the dance floor and received 56 votes.<br \/>\n\u00a0 They were second of the night and deserved it. <center><br \/>\n\u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i99.photobucket.com\/albums\/l291\/enkeli666\/emergenza%201%20march\/ta\/DSC_0008.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Last band to vote for was Surf Green, young and rocking. They used to be a<br \/>\n\u00a0 Blink182 cover band but were also able to perform their own songs quite well.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Three emo kids inspired by bands such as Blink182, AFI and some others. Really<br \/>\n\u00a0 great and my favs of the night, and also the last of four bands who will enter<br \/>\n\u00a0 the Emergenza semifinal. <center><br \/>\n\u00a0 \ufffd<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Last band of the night were last year\u2019s winners: The Jerks from Stuttgart.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Three guys sounding like The Hives, The Vines and bands like that. They seemed<br \/>\n\u00a0 quite professional on stage compared to the others and did a great job. A nice<br \/>\n\u00a0 closing for the night.
