\u00a0 Last night of Emergenza Rotterdam and six bands were pleased to perform for us
\n\u00a0 tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n
\nFirst band of the evening is\u00a0Incomplete. A young punk rock band. Musically\u00a0they immediately reminded me of Parasite City. The band is quite enthusiastic\u00a0on stage and to make watching them a little bit more fun they decided to cover\u00a0Britney Spears \u2013 Oops I Did It Again. Of course, this idea is not that\u00a0original, but the band performs with blonde wigs and shirts a la Britney. They\u00a0\u00a0 entertained me, so I voted for them.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

\nNext is Twiggy. This punk band looked quite professional and well organized\u00a0on stage. Bands like NOFX and Bad Religion clearly are influences. For some\u00a0reason I had the feeling I saw this band before, but maybe it is just that they\u00a0are very alike with another band. The band shows that they know how to be on\u00a0stage. I liked it, I voted!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

\nThird band of the evening is Rastafarius. They made lovely dreamy rock music.\u00a0Although the performance of tonight might not be the best, there is something\u00a0incredibly attractive to this band. One of the songs had quite an abrupt end,\u00a0which sounded quite weird. But overall there is something in me that tells that\u00a0this band will grow bigger and better in future. The charisma of the band members\u00a0makes it all, but somehow there is still some insecurity visible. Once again,\u00a0\u00a0 that will be gone in a few more shows perhaps. Maybe this band would do better\u00a0on a bigger stage? I hoped to see them in the P60 but unfortunately they did\u00a0not make it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

\nThe Paved brought us some progressive rock. Their music is really relaxed,\u00a0and maybe I should not have listened to their music at the third evening in\u00a0row of Emergenza, because it made me lazy and sleepy. That has nothing to do with the quality,\u00a0just the fact that their music is more suitable for a\u00a0quiet night at home. On stage they were not that active as well. They are nice\u00a0to listen to, but a little too calm for me.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n\n\n
\nSisters of Pleasure brought back my energy. Their rock tunes are happier, catchier\u00a0and invite me more to actually listen to their music with my fullest attention.\u00a0You hear many different influences in their music, but the songs ended all up\u00a0as good pop rock songs. Especially the last song on their set did\u00a0the trick. With that song they convinced me that I had to vote for this band.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

<\/center><\/p>\n\n\n
\nThe last band of this evening is Open. They make alternative rock. Typical\u00a0music you have to listen to with attention, not really music which you would\u00a0play somewhere in the background when working. I liked what they did, but they\u00a0did not really stand out between the rest. They are just one of the many, many\u00a0alternative rock bands. They did bring a lot of fans and they did make it to\u00a0the semifinals, but for me there was not really a click. I just missed the thrill.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n
