And that not only in the UK but
in the entire world. And now thy released a DVD that shows their journey throughout
the years, from the beginning till now: “Amazing Journey: The Story of
THE WHO”. A DVD, that will not only amaze fans, but everybody who watches
it. I think The Who is a household name for everybody, so I don’t really
need to describe the band.

The DVD is a 2 disc fan package. On the first DVD “Amazing Journey: The
Story of THE WHO” shows you how it all began and leads you through four
decades of band history. It also shows you how they became international music
icons. The band themselves describe that journey. It’s very interesting
to hear their view of it all. On the second disc “Amazing Story: Six Quick
Ones” you have the specials: “Six Quick Ones”; “Scrapbook”;
“The High Numbers at the Railway Hotel”.
“ Six Quick Ones” reminds of one of those VH1 specials, it’s
six short films put together showing the sensational and unique skills of The
Who, including never shown material, rare interviews and concerts, as well as
interviews with some great friends of The Who during their musical journey.
Every single band member gets introduced with his own style of playing his instrument,
which is really amazing and made me wanting to get out one of my guitars and
play. And I guess every other musician gets that urge too when watching this
special. Many popular and great musicians tell about The Who, whether they describe
the difference between common playing of music instruments compared to The Who
or their early impressions about the band and so on. Amazing how outrageous
The Who’s music actually is, this special also teaches you a lot about
music. The end of this special shows an exclusive recording session from 2003.

The next special on this disc is the “Scrapbook” which includes backstage
stories, behind the scenes, issues and problems, special happenings and milestones
throughout the career of The Who.
The last special “The High Numbers at the Railway Hotel” is a rare
recording of a hotel gig they played back in the day.

All in all a very interesting DVD. It is really an amazing story about The
Who.

DISC 1: THE STORY OF THE WHO
For the first time, hear and see the amazing story of The Who – in their
own words.
A feature-length film, featuring:
•Exclusive and never-before-seen footage of the band.
•Insightful interviews with Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle,
and Keith Moon.
•Conversations with rock contemporaries, close friends and family. DISC 2: SIX QUICK ONES
This in-depth film, in six parts, explores the musical brilliance of The
Who through rare historic footage.
Featuring:
•Roger, John, Pete, Keith: Four individual mini-films on each band
member’s genius.
•Who Art You?: How The Who became a band as visually impactful as
they are musically, from art school through Pop Art.
•Who’s Back: In 2003, Legendary filmmaker D.
