Here I was on this Monday<br \/>\n\u00a0 evening, back in the Nachtleben in Frankfurt to see Mad Marge and the Stonecutters<br \/>\n\u00a0 from California and The Peacocks from Switzerland. The club was still empty<br \/>\n\u00a0 as I arrived, only the staff and the bands were there, although the doors were<br \/>\n\u00a0 already opened. This night wouldn\u2019t be very crowded, more a relaxed show<br \/>\n\u00a0 with two great bands. Shortly before the first band of the night started, several<br \/>\n\u00a0 people finally found their way downstairs and were now gathering on the sides<br \/>\n\u00a0 and in the back of the club, everybody seemed too shy to stand right in front<br \/>\n\u00a0 of the stage. <!--more--><\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\nMad Marge and the Stonecutters now entered the stage. I knew I\u2019ve seen<br \/>\nthe double bass player before, and now I remembered where: I saw him with Rezurex.<br \/>\nThe world is really tiny sometimes. The female vocalist was having a cold, her\u00a0voice was still great and so was the performance. It was a pity that not that\u00a0many people were there nor did anybody really know any song of the band. But\u00a0hey, it was a Monday night and for that it was really good. They played for\u00a0about 45 minutes, and since they seldomly write set lists they were deciding\u00a0which song to play next, spontaneously. I am always fascinated how double bass\u00a0players treat their instrument, and so was I this time. M2 (double bass) was\u00a0throwing it around, and even lifting it up to his shoulders as if the bass had\u00a0no weight. Keep in mind that a double bass is big!!! Amazing. And how he played\u00a0on it. With such a passion. Wow! Double basses and their players always amaze\u00a0me big time. But the band had more to offer. Two great guitar players, one of\u00a0them was wearing a Frantic Flintstone shirt (I will see them live soon) and\u00a0the other one had gorgeous tattoos like everywhere, and many piercings. And\u00a0\u00a0 some people say I have many with my lousy six tattoos and more than ten piercings\u2026.\u00a0They had a great time on stage and I had a great time listening and watching,\u00a0so did the rest of the audience which was still far off the stage and it wasn&#8217;t\u00a0going to change much during the evening. Mad Marge and the Stonecutters is a\u00a0great band and worth seeing over and over again. I hope I\u2019ll get the chance\u00a0to do so.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" hight=\"200\" width=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/i99.photobucket.com\/albums\/l291\/enkeli666\/Mad%20Marge\/DSC_0057.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center><\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\nMain act of the night was The Peacocks, a trio from Switzerland, with double\u00a0bass, of course. They have nine albums released so far and rock since 1990.<br \/>\nMichi was rocking his bass like a maniac, whirling it around, twisting it, dancing\u00a0with it and doing all kinds of stuff. He never stood still not even one second,\u00a0neither did his double bass. Hasu was doing splits and jumping around with his\u00a0guitar as well when he was not singing or talking to the audience. When he talked,\u00a0he did so in German with a funny but somehow adorable accent. The audience was\u00a0dancing along and enjoying the energetic and very powerful performance of these\u00a0three Swiss guys. The sweat was just running but they kept on going without\u00a0getting tired, so it seemed. The Peacocks rocked the stage for about an hour,\u00a0and played an encore on the audience\u2019s demand. A great show for a Monday\u00a0\u00a0 night, even if we all kept in mind that most of us had to get up early the next\u00a0morning and go to work.
