They brought many fans and\/or friends,<br \/>\n\u00a0 it was quite filled with enthusiastic people. Playing a good dose of black metal<br \/>\n\u00a0 a la Immortal with a touch of Cradle they were far from being original, but<br \/>\n\u00a0 that did not matter to the crowd nor did it matter to me. Good performance.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Keep up the good work.\u00a0 Time for looking around. The Underground is a modern building with a nice sound.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Not so comfortable to just hang around during the breaks, but the beer was cheap<br \/>\n\u00a0 (\u20ac 1,50). And for dinner there&#8217;s a snackbar and a Turkish caf\u00e9\/restaurant<br \/>\n\u00a0 just across the street.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Sylver Myst. A female fronted metal band? Will this be just one of the many<br \/>\n\u00a0 gothic bands or will I be treated on a surprise? At first it seemed to be the<br \/>\n\u00a0 latter, but as the perfomance progressed there were small surprises. Male grunts<br \/>\n\u00a0 from the guitarist and a better than expected performance. But still, no real<br \/>\n\u00a0 originality here. Ok, if you&#8217;re into the genre. Nothing wrong with it. But not<br \/>\n\u00a0 the next Dutch export product.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 On to one of the bands I came for: Kutschurft. As I told before this<br \/>\n\u00a0 band is named after an STD and has lots of rude and dirty lyrics. And as it<br \/>\n\u00a0 turned out they are evenly popular here as on Stonehenge. I actually got hold<br \/>\n\u00a0 of the setlist and it is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Met Je Kanus in M&#8217;n Anus\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Krijg de Rugmergtering\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Boer Hoekt Vrouw\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Met Je Tieten in de Bankschroef\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Zij Zuigt Graag aan Mijn Spaanse Kraag\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>In een Waas van Tenenkaas\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Karbonade Brigade\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Die Keizersnee Nam M&#8217;n Eetlust Mee\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Herpes Genialis\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Loeiend Linke Lesbiennes\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ik Neuk Alleen een Vrouw met Kutschurft\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Sambal\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Een Dag Te Laat\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Maak Me Gek met Je Doorligplek\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Temptation Weiland\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Metal Is een Mannensport\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Efteling Ellendeling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0 With these hilarious titles and dito lyrics moulded into a grindcore sound<br \/>\n\u00a0 they got the crowd going. Worth mentioning was the girl that singer Jorre took<br \/>\n\u00a0 on stage during &#8220;Ik Neuk Alleen een Vrouw met Kutschurft&#8221;. She did<br \/>\n\u00a0 not expect it at all and was kind of embarassed. (see picture). Great performance<br \/>\n\u00a0 once again.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Oh&#8230; no!!!! Not again&#8230; was my first thought when I saw female fronted Elexorien<br \/>\n\u00a0 entering. But then I realised that I had seen this band before as support act<br \/>\n\u00a0 of Korpikklaani in Baroeg (Rotterdam) in 2006. By then this Groningen (NET)<br \/>\n\u00a0 based band could not enthuse me. But that was also due to their being support<br \/>\n\u00a0 act of a band that everyone in the venue was looking forward to. Here they were<br \/>\n\u00a0 support act of Stormlord. Much more in the right place. Their diverse battle<br \/>\n\u00a0 metal was greeted with quite some enthusiasm from the audience. And actually<br \/>\n\u00a0 their performance was quite professional and entertaining. I personally am just<br \/>\n\u00a0 not into the battle metal genre. Therefore I found myself at the bar after taking<br \/>\n\u00a0 some shots of the band. Worth checking out if you like their music. Check their<br \/>\n\u00a0 website (once it is up again, because at the moment it seems to be down).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Twice in 24 hours. Detonation. Yes!!\u00a0Clearly the crowd was much more into the band\u00a0\u00a0 than the crowd on their\u00a0tenth birthday the day before. They wanted to mosh, they wanted heaviness, they<br \/>\n\u00a0 wanted Detonation. And that&#8217;s what they got. Unfortunately they did not have<br \/>\n\u00a0 their own light and sound engineer with them, which, if you had seen them the<br \/>\n\u00a0 day before, could clearly be noticed. But still it was a great show and the<br \/>\n\u00a0 other attendants clearly thought likewise. Death\/Thrash is what they got and<br \/>\n\u00a0 lots of satisfied faces is what Detonation was treated on in return and they<br \/>\n\u00a0 enjoyed eachother&#8217;s appearance.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 On to the next band. Said to be a big band, but I did not know them. Stormlord<br \/>\n\u00a0 is what I&#8217;m talking about. Black metal with some sidesteps to other genre&#8217;s.<br \/>\n\u00a0 My company had already left the venue and since this was the last band Aaltjesrock<br \/>\n\u00a0 featured I just took some pics and left. The crowd seemed to really like the<br \/>\n\u00a0 band, but to me it was just another metalband.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0All in all I had fun with Kutschurft and Detonation and enjoyed Necromortica<br \/>\n\u00a0 and the beer. Nice venue, good festival at a good price.
