{"id":136,"date":"2007-10-23T19:31:41","date_gmt":"2007-10-23T18:31:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tempelores.com\/?p=136"},"modified":"2020-03-27T22:53:21","modified_gmt":"2020-03-27T20:53:21","slug":"22-10-2007-hellnights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tempelores.com\/?p=136","title":{"rendered":"22-10-2007 Hellnights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><small><em>Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Germany)<br \/>\n\u00a0 By: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tempelores.com\/?page_id=13#nina\">Nina Mende<\/a><\/em><\/small><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 I just love Halloween: the dressing-up, the trick or treating and the annual<br \/>\n\u00a0 Hellnights Tour with 4 to 5 gorgeous bands!<br \/>\n\u00a0 This year\u2019s line-up was planned to be the Crimson Ghosts, the Deep Eynde,<br \/>\n\u00a0 the Spook and Nim Vind, but Nim Vind couldn\u2019t be along Hellnights this<br \/>\n\u00a0 time, so Shadow Reichenstein was replacing them for the tour. Although I would<br \/>\n\u00a0 have loved to see Nim Vind, Shadow Reichenstein is great as well. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 The show tonight, at the Nachtleben in Frankfurt, started at 8:15 pm, quite<br \/>\n\u00a0 early and Monday evening. That was probably the reason why it was quite empty.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Crimson Ghosts, a German horror punk band from Cologne, were up first. With<br \/>\n\u00a0 the perfect Halloween-like make-up they were playing for about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Up next were the Deep Eynde, an American band from California. Their singer<br \/>\n\u00a0 was in a complete dress-up, perfectly covered his face and everything, it looked<br \/>\n\u00a0 really spooky. Way spookier, though, was the fact that he was running around,<br \/>\n\u00a0 not only on stage but also off stage so it happened that, as I was taking pictures<br \/>\n\u00a0 of the bass players mask, he almost jumped me from behind and shocked me. But<br \/>\n\u00a0 what would Hellnights be without such happenings\u2026what a great performance,<br \/>\n\u00a0 not only illustration wise but also music wise. Really great.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 The third band tonight was the Spook, another German band. The singer looked<br \/>\n\u00a0 a little bit like Freddy Krueger, the bass player like Elvis, and the drummer<br \/>\n\u00a0 had gorgeous tattoos all over. The Spook dedicated each song of the night to<br \/>\n\u00a0 somebody. The Nachleben was a little bit fuller by now and everybody was singing<br \/>\n\u00a0 and dancing along and having a great time.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0 <\/center>\u00a0 Last tonight was Shadow Reichenstein, a band from Texas. During the whole evening<br \/>\n\u00a0 I saw people either wearing Blitzkid merchandise or Shadow Reichenstein, or<br \/>\n\u00a0 even both. Some people were even dressed in Shadow Reichenstein merchandise<br \/>\n\u00a0 completely. Really cool to see. The audience was singing and rocking along the<br \/>\n\u00a0 with the Texans and enjoyed the show.
