{"id":122,"date":"2007-10-10T18:25:27","date_gmt":"2007-10-10T17:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tempelores.com\/?p=122"},"modified":"2014-11-24T13:14:06","modified_gmt":"2014-11-24T13:14:06","slug":"mad-marge-the-stonecutters-liberated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tempelores.com\/?p=122","title":{"rendered":"Mad Marge &amp; The Stonecutters &#8211; Liberated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><small><em>Release date: 08-10-2007, Label: People Like You Records<br \/>\nBy: <a target=\"main\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tempelores.com\/?page_id=243#nina\">Nina Mende<\/a><\/em><\/small><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 After seeing Mad Marge and the Stonecutters live as support for the Peacocks<br \/>\n\u00a0 I finally found the time to listen to their album.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Formed in late 2004 from the baron nothingness of the High Desert of Southern<br \/>\n\u00a0 California, Mad Marge and the Stonecutters hit the scene with a huge force.<br \/>\n\u00a0 They were approached by a small record company, Baseline Music Co., that liked<br \/>\n\u00a0 what they\u2019d heard on the bands 2005 \u201cStonecutters\u2026are go!\u201d<br \/>\n\u00a0 four song demo and wanted to help them with their first record. The self-titled<br \/>\n\u00a0 debut album, where they officially took on the name Mad Marge and the Stonecutters,<br \/>\n\u00a0 was released in February of 2006 and thanks to the growing success of that release<br \/>\n\u00a0 they were given the opportunity to play Vans Warped tour, tour the southwest<br \/>\n\u00a0 and the west coast of the U.S. as well as countries throughout Europe including<br \/>\n\u00a0 Germany where they played the biggest psychobilly festival in the world, the<br \/>\n\u00a0 Satanic Stomp.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 The album starts out very fast and rocking, very catchy melodies and lyrics.<br \/>\n\u00a0 The song \u201cIssues\u201d as well as \u201cSickness\u201d definitely make<br \/>\n\u00a0 you dance and sing. Really great songs. You can hear the typical sound of the<br \/>\n\u00a0 double bass. The music is typical for psychobilly, combined with a great and<br \/>\n\u00a0 powerful female singer. \u201cDial Z for Zombie\u201d is another quick song,<br \/>\n\u00a0 \u201cWalk Away\u201d is somehow an outstanding song. It would be a nice radio<br \/>\n\u00a0 song, there\u2019s some great singing in this song and nice melodies. \u201cLiberation\u201d<br \/>\n\u00a0 is a great song for live performances because of the simple chorus. A nice album,<br \/>\n\u00a0 spreading happiness and power, makes you want to jump around and sing along.<br \/>\n\u00a0 Mad Marge and the Stonecutters is not only a gorgeous live band, but also great<br \/>\n\u00a0 for the CD player.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<td>\u00a0 1.
