\u00a0 I was on holiday in Antwerp and me and my friend found out in some agendalike
\n\u00a0 leaflet that there were to play two bands in the metal\/rock cafe we already
\n\u00a0 saw that very afternoon. As I later found out the second band to play that evening
\n\u00a0 had cancelled due to them being a finalist in some sort of national bandcontest.
\n\u00a0 That was Outnumbered by Idiots. A pity, because I liked the bandname. So we
\n\u00a0 had to take satisfaction in just that one band which turned out to be from my
\n\u00a0 homecountry Holland: Melanocaster<\/p>\n

\u00a0 Not quite an inviting name, but I cannot imagine that that was the reason for
\n\u00a0 the other visitors to be totally not interested in the performance. Perhaps
\n\u00a0 this was just their hangout pub to talk and drink beer with friends. It cannot
\n\u00a0 have been the music or the performance. They were very accessible and, although
\n\u00a0 some bandmembers seemed a bit static, it was actually quite entertaining to
\n\u00a0 look at. Musically they are a modern version of 70’s garage rock. They make
\n\u00a0 timeless poppy rock songs with catchy riffs, alternating between slow\/relaxed
\n\u00a0 and somewhat wild and cooler. Special mention is needed for the singer. His
\n\u00a0 voice is actually what the band leans on. Which is a good thing. There is no
\n\u00a0 need for elaborate soloing and explicit loud riffing when you have a singer
\n\u00a0 like that in the ranks. Usually I get bored with this kind of music in about
\n\u00a0 two songs but this band was able to grab and keep hold of my attention till
\n\u00a0 the end. Bravo!<\/p>\n
