\u00a0 “Tony Gorilla” is a classic punkstyled Rock’n’Roll five-piece you
\n\u00a0 have to deal with. Danzig meets Black Flag meets The Hellacopters, that’s what
\n\u00a0 this crazy train running through your ears is made of. And “live”
\n\u00a0 this will hit you hard! They’ll kick your ass with a raw and powerful punkrock-show
\n\u00a0 full of passion and dedication without any doubt and taking any prisoners. The
\n\u00a0 musical influences lie somewhere between the punk and hardcore music of the
\n\u00a0 80s and the rockbands of the 70s – vital and throbbing out of every single sweating
\n\u00a0 pore. In 2004 “Tony Gorilla” recorded a five-song demo. The debut-record
\n\u00a0 “Untamed Beast” will be released by Hulk R\u00e4ckorz\/ SPV on Friday
\n\u00a0 28th September.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u00a0 But who would I be if I hadn’t the album already……
\n\u00a0 Here is my impression of it:
\n\u00a0 Tony Gorilla sounds to me definitely like Punk meets Rockabilly. But it’s really
\n\u00a0 hard to be put in one genre, because it’s not typical for neither of the two.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 The intro for reminds me a little bit of the 69eyes, the song “Heart of
\n\u00a0 Gold” sounds a little bit like Tiger Army in the beginning but goes on
\n\u00a0 a little bit harder and punkier than Tiger Army would sound. Further they remind
\n\u00a0 a little bit of bands like The Other, Shadow Reichenstein, old Misfits but also
\n\u00a0 bands like Backyard Babies, Psychopunch and Mot\u00f6rhead and also old bands
\n\u00a0 such as The WHO and AC\/DC!!!
\n\u00a0 The song “can you feel the fire” sounds somehow very familiar to me,
\n\u00a0 but I just can’t point my finger on it and say: yes, that’s where I know it
\n\u00a0 from. A great song and very easy to sing along. Another one of my favorites
\n\u00a0 on the album is “too old to live, too young to die”. I like the melody
\n\u00a0 in it and the lyrics are quite deep, they make you think about the sense of
\n\u00a0 life.
\n\u00a0 They have their own style somewhere in between it all, which makes the album
\n\u00a0 very interesting to listen to and it surely makes you at least nod your head
\n\u00a0 along with the beats.
\n\u00a0 The only feeling I get from the album though is strenght. A kick ass and go
\n\u00a0 for it mood sets in when I listen to it.
\n\u00a0 The album sounds like it would be great live music for a huge moshpit in the
\n\u00a0 crowd.<\/p>\n
