Fink was doing a tour in The Netherlands. This singer\/songwriter proved to be substantially influential on the North Sea Jazz festival <\/a>in 2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"\"A nice surprise this evening was the support act Ben Howard from the UK. A young\u00a0guy, which is sitting down on his chair with his acoustic guitar on his lap. It took him not even half a song to impress the audience with his warm vocals. Ben seemed impressed by the enthusiastic feedback the audience gave him and he often talked with them. Interesting to observe was how in some songs he taps the guitar where in other he is playing it more regularly, but always combined with vocals that take a slight step back from the stereotype and come straight from the heart.<\/p>\n

\u00a0It was an intimate performance and Ben could have been headlining just as much as Fink did this evening. He got the audience on his hands.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\"\"Fink seems like a tough boy when he enters the stage with his camouflage pants. He took some backup from a bassist and drummer, but they could not match his tough look. Fin Greenall is not only in his looks tough boy, his music shows some balls as well. At first the songs make a calm impression, but the words are placed well thought and have often an deeper background than you would expect at first sight.
\nAt some point, where the energy got up and the band was over the first half of their setlist there were a couple of songs that reminded me a lot to the British band Joy Division. As if Ian Curtis was there. Bring this together with the autumn that seems to trash the world at this day and an atmosphere of darkness is created. Fin Greenall dismissed his band also to give the audience a sight of his solo work which got appreciated.<\/p>\n

The music of Fink surely comes alive on a stage and make a whole different impression than hearing the recorded versions of it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
