There was a youth festival with several stages throughout the city park of Solingen. All was for free so it happened that many teens were there just hanging out. The reason why we were there was the four boys from Hamburg: 4lyn.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n4Lyn began their career as Headtrip in 1995 as high schoolers. They recorded demos and played locally, and in 2000 a gig at the Ohrenschmaus Festival in Hamburg got them attention from label scouts. &#8220;4Lyn&#8221; is an acronym of sorts; 4 is the number of band members, and LYN stands for &#8220;loud young nobodies&#8221;. They released their debut self-titled record on Universal Records subsidiary Motor Music in 2001, and toured with Papa Roach, Thumb, Therapy?, Cosmotron, and Dredg. They recorded their sophomore effort, Neon, in Demark, then toured throughout central Europe. They left Motor Music to sign with Edel Music for their third release, Take it as a Compliment, issued in 2004. In 2005 they wrote a theme song entitled &#8220;Go Sea Devils&#8221; for the Hamburg Sea Devils, a football team. 2007 saw the released of their self-produced album, &#8220;Compadres&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It had rained earlier so the ground was all muddy and the band before animated the crowd to play with the mudd and so they even threw with it. Now for 4lyn it was all crowded but the muddy pit was left empty in the beginning. Ron (singer) called it the border between fans and rockers and the chill out zone. But that gap filled up quite fast and had disappeared completely as they did the Wall Of Death. 4lyn mostly played old songs, but also the singles of the latest album. They played and encore and ended with \u201cWhoo\u201d. The audience cheered out loud, sang along even louder and didn\u2019t stand still for a second. The whole atmosphere was very energetic and positive, the show lasted for a little over an hour. Everybody had fun and the band gave everything.
