Unborn Generation is a Finnish formation making Death Metal. The band formed in 2002 and came with a debut album in 2006. Anno 2015 the band is releasing their fifth full length album called “Dead Generation of Men”.
The band gives you a slow start with the release, but after about a minute the threatening doom is released in to a buildering sensation of Death and Grind Metal. It goes on for quite a bit before the rage gets into a solid shape where you can give it the right appreciation. When the instruments and the vocals found a balance with each other, the whole sets out in release where you can listen to the instruments laying that basis where vocalist Juho can add his terror to.
The first songs are there to give you an introduction, but further into the album the band has the better songs placed. All rather short and very direct, but in good line with each other which makes the songs have the impact as them being much longer. A compressed way of bringing it you could say. It makes sense when you hear the Grind in there taking the lead. Yet, when the band slows it down a slight bit you can hear them shine even more, so perhaps a bit more tempo variations would be great to make it even better.
Yet, this release is not much to complain about. The band is straightforward and remains entertaining through the whole tracklist. A good release.
