Iiwanajulma is an Alternative Metal formation from Finland. The band released a first full length album called “Sitä ei ole mitä en näe” in 2005 and anno 2014 returns with album number three: “Hallelujah”.
Ah quite peaceful start of the album comes with the track “Finlandia”. It’s calm but in it you might find that threatening tone over it. And perhaps you better prepare yourself because “Hallelujah” is an album that comes with a lot of different energies. Each song has its own but within a song you are never too sure what comes up either. Play the unexpected and use it in your advance is what you will encounter. With inscrutable grace Iiwanajulma takes you by the hand and guides you through the album, but not all paths are straight, you are to use your own interpretation on it even though the obvious is out there. With “Passiivisesta Väkivallasta”, the band’s single of this release, you witness a whole outburst of frustrations while a track like “Krati” brings some balance back.
Overall, “Hallelujah” is a passionate album that is one to listen with care. It is not an album that is made to brighten up your life, it is one that opens your world a bit further and exposes you to something that will put all other realities in doubt.
