Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and Mark Tavassol are the founders of the brand new band Gloria. Klaas is known as an entertainer and TV host, Mark as the guitar player of the German band Wir Sind Helden. Years ago both started making music together just for the fun.

But then making music together grew on them, and they fell in love with Gloria. It got serious. The outcome of this hangout is the self titled debut album of Gloria. Ten tracks packed together and called “Gloria”. All songs are in German, talking about feelings. Like a diary “Gloria” is talking about thoughts, things that happened and emotions. Slow music, very thoughtful and full of emotions. Somehow the voice of Klaas and the style of the music reminds of Rio Reiser, a German musician in the 80s. The album goes by smooth, touching you deep. All songs definitely get stuck in your head and get you to tap along at the least. Gloria is highly addictive with its beautiful arrangements. This album is a must have for all fans of good music. The first single release is “Eigenes Berlin”. The guys will be touring in November and December. If you have the chance you should definitely go check it out.
