By: Nina Mende

Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992, performing for five years, before disbanding in 1997. They reunited in 2002 and since 2012, the group has consisted of Corey Taylor (lead vocals, guitar, piano) and Jim Root (guitar, keyboard) also of Slipknot, Josh Rand (guitar) and Roy Mayorga (drums, percussion).

Now the guys around Corey Taylor have released their fourth studio album “House Of Gold & Bones Part 1”. Part 2 will follow early next year. Both albums were recorded at the same time as a double concept album. “House Of Gold & Bones Part 1” is a very interesting album as it goes through different moods. A rocking intro that goes deep leading into a fast song that makes you shiver. The album kicks ass big time. The songs are packed with emotions and passion. Slow songs combined with faster songs, rock and metal connected to a perfect unison. Corey Taylor’s voice will definitely go right underneath your skin. The heavy guitar riffs make your muscles twitch. Amazing powerful music. Energizing from first to last. “House Of Gold & Bones Part 1” is an album that leaves you speechless. And it’s only the first half. So stay tuned for part two. But until then please your ears with Stone Sour’s part 1. And don’t miss out on their tour with Papa Roach this fall and winter. That will be the happening of the year. X-mas comes early this year and brings some kick ass music to the stages near you. Don’t miss out!
