Ellipse is a formation of Maximilian Wall making Electro-Indie. “Verlorene Zeit” is the third release from Ellipse.
Ellipse is renewing things quite a bit, bringing in a female vocalist in a couple of songs, which has not been done before and this addition brings surely a nice add to the sound. Here and there a little horror atmosphere, creepy sounds added making it all dramatic. The overall result from this experimenting with new elements comes together in a couple of danceable electro track, some a bit more intense, others more open for just listening and enjoy the story that’s being told.
Ellipse has made a collection of diversity with “Verlorene Zeit”. You truly get to hear different sides on this release and that is keeping the album interesting to listen too. Another featuring is added to album, in this case with Pain Level a project of which the debut album may be expected in 2012. Right in this song they become a little more aggressive to add another direction to the sound.
“Verlorene Zeit” is a pleasant album, very diverse, but perhaps not an album that gives you love at first sight. Some more listening is recommended and needed to get the true feeling of this release.
