Herzparasit is a band from Germany making Gothic Rock mixed with Industrial. The duo fits themselves into the Neue Deutsche Härte direction. Their debut album “Fromme Lämmer” is out now.
It is the band’s first release and maybe this gives a little explanation for the fact that their music is not exactly the newest and refreshing thing around. However, this never seemed to be intended at the first place and when listening to their music you quickly catch up their commercial and catchy side. Sure, the band is there bringing their stories, so recognizable for many and this with an instrumental backing that is giving you only a minute to pick up. You won’t need much more as the song structures are all alike and not too comprehensive. Vocals are quite prominent bringing the words with a hard edge on the pronunciation as if the lyrics themselves aren’t enough.
If you go into this album knowing that it is not something new, but yet an extension of what is already around and don’t have a problem with a bit of catchiness then this might be the album for you, but don’t listen to it while expecting to find something unique.
