Db’s in Utrecht gives stage to two bands tonight. It is a small and cosy venue that on this Saturday night is filled with music lovers that came to see the bands Khuda and Container, brought by Pollination events.

Container is a band from Utrecht and when the locals go on stage giving their very first performance the venue is nicely filled. The band makes Stoner Rock(‘n roll) and at first it seems a bit messy on stage. After all, the stage was quite full and everyone seem to search for his space up there, but after a few minutes this was all solved. On stage the band has its intensity coming from their vocalist who lives it all quite intense here while the rest of the band seemed more timid performers. The songs the band perform seem quite solid and well composed and with their show they entertained the audience well. Let’s see what these guys bring in future.

Then Khuda, a band from Leeds. This instrumental duo had no problems in keeping the audience interested at all, having this very intense music going on. Their guitarist had a bit of bad luck, breaking a string in the first 30 seconds of their show, but soon a second start enlightened us. It is equal with these two who stands up front, more a great example of teamwork rather than a battle of ego’s which turns out quite well. Though, their drummer is really intense in his facial expression, giving besides the massive drum parts he’s playing the impression he’s having sex while performing. True drum porn we would say. The band played a strong set here tonight and with Db’s being quite crowded it is much likely we’ll see them back again.
