The Canadian grunge formation Sven Gali was formed in the late 1980s and released two albums in the mid 1990s, one of them went gold in Canada. Two decades later the band returns with the third record now; the EP named “3”.

The interesting fact about music from past three decades. Results revealed that listening to this music was associated with increased nostalgia about adolescence. Seriously, there is no exception. Sven Gali makes a heavy comeback from mid-1990’s. After 25 years of being in silent mode and doing business like adults the band did the flawless tracks (one per year plus one remastered). The style was out of grunge by adding some electric (industrial) sound that brought all the tracks on the shelf with alternative rock masters from 1990s. Touch of nostalgia. Move on. “Kill the lies” is not a manifestation or something like that but there are glimpse of truth. Moreover, lyrics are powerful and emotional: “Compromise, paralyzed// I close my eyes and see right through you”. The next song “You won’t break me” is about staying strong again. “Hurt” steps back to 1980s with glazing charm of hairy metal heads and killer riffs.

I’m glad that I picked this EP for reviewing. This is a stamp of 1990s without a doubt. Reserve your nostalgic mood.
