Juli is a German pop-rock band from Giessen founded in 2001. They have three studio albums released by now with “In Love” being the latest. Their probably most popular hits were “Perfekte Welle” and “Geile Zeit”.
All their lyrics are in German. Easy going and catchy melodies definitely get stuck in your head and stay there for long. The album is perfect for radio plays and each song is easy to sing along. The lyrics are taken out of life and songs like “Jessica” seem very personal. Deep lyrics wrapped in pop melodies lift the actual weight of each song a lot and make them sound more like summer songs. This album seems stronger than the past ones though. If you listen to the lyrics you will most likely find yourself thinking about them, but as said before, the easy floating melodies distract you from the seriousness. “Ich Bin In Love (Paris)” is a very joyful song with music box melodies. “Sterne Fallen” is the saddest and slowest song on the album. “In Love” is Juli’s new hit album. At least in Germany I am sure we will hear a lot more of them on TV, MTV or on the radio soon.
